A shot list is a vital piece of pre production work, it helps you to professionally plan out your shots and ensure everything runs smoothly. Without a shot list on the day of filming you would find yourself very lost for ideas. Especially when it comes to bigger productions shot lists work wonders, the main benefit is that it allows a director to organise their thoughts and ideas prior to commencing production.

A mind map is what it says on the tin, it is a plan/map of all of your compound ideas. It helps a director to somewhat informally go on a tangent about their ideas. I find mind maps are a great way to idea generate. They are also great for referring back to in the future!

A mood board is much like a mind map, it consists of a bunch of random ideas but as opposed to using words it uses images. 

I think mood board's are great tools to get a bunch of inspiration from already made movies, posters and graphical elements. 

When creating my mood board I started to piece together more ideas in my head that I then went on to expand on! It was very helpful.

A production schedule is brilliant for keeping organised and hitting personal deadlines. They are essentially used just to plan out and prepare your production so you do not get confused at any point. 

Without my production schedule I would most certainly slack on my work. I think it is a vital piece of pre production to have!

A script is useful not only for the directors but also for the actors within a short film. Most scripts stand by the rule - 'One written page equals to one minute of screen time'. 

Considering this my script is 7 pages long and was made using a site called 'Celtex'. 

Overall, I think my script is well written and professional.

There is not an awful lot of dialogue in it, it consists mainly of something known as 'Action' which is simply a characters movements.
